Step-by-step on iOS

  1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
  2. Scroll down and tap Mail.
  3. Tap Accounts.
  4. Tap Add Account.
  5. Tap Other (not Google, not Microsoft, your email is hosted by Jezweb, not those providers).
  6. Tap Add Mail Account.
  7. Fill in:
    • Name: Your name (this is what recipients see)
    • Email: Your full email address (e.g. jane@yourbusiness.com.au)
    • Password: Your mailbox password
    • Description: A label for the account (e.g. "Work email")
  8. Tap Next. iPhone will try to detect the settings, sometimes it succeeds, sometimes you'll need to enter them manually. If asked for the type, choose IMAP.
  9. Fill in:
    • Incoming Mail Server:
      • Host Name: ax.email
      • User Name: your full email address
      • Password: your password
    • Outgoing Mail Server:
      • Host Name: ax.email
      • User Name: your full email address
      • Password: your password
  10. Tap Next. iPhone verifies the settings, this can take 30 seconds.
  11. Make sure Mail is on (and Notes can be off). Tap Save.

Your inbox should now appear in the Mail app. The first sync can take a few minutes if you have lots of email.

Trouble? The most common issue is the iPhone trying SSL on the wrong port. If it fails, check that Incoming uses port 993 and Outgoing uses port 465 with SSL on. Full server settings here, or call us and we'll walk you through it.
