Add a new account

  1. Open Thunderbird.
  2. Click the hamburger menu (top-right) → New → Existing Email Account.
  3. Fill in:
    • Your name: what recipients see
    • Email address: your full email address
    • Password: your mailbox password
  4. Click Continue. Thunderbird will probe for settings, if it can't detect them automatically, click Configure manually.
  5. Manual settings:
    • Incoming Server:
      • Protocol: IMAP
      • Hostname: ax.email
      • Port: 993
      • Connection security: SSL/TLS
      • Authentication: Normal password
      • Username: your full email address
    • Outgoing Server:
      • Hostname: ax.email
      • Port: 465
      • Connection security: SSL/TLS
      • Authentication: Normal password
      • Username: your full email address
  6. Click Re-test, then Done.

Your inbox loads. First sync may take a few minutes.
