Just a card update (same card, new expiry / CVV)
If your card number is the same and only the expiry date or CVV has changed, the simplest path is to wait for your next invoice or auto-charge, it'll fail, you'll get an email notification, and the email includes a secure link to update the card details.
If you'd rather do it preemptively, email us and we'll send the secure card-update link straight away. Don't email card details directly, the Stripe portal handles them securely without anyone at Jezweb seeing them.
New card, different number
Same process: tell us, we send a secure Stripe link, you enter the new card. Old card is removed automatically once the new one is verified.
Switching from card to direct debit
Most monthly clients prefer auto-debit so they don't have to think about it. We set this up through Stripe's bank-debit (BECS) flow:
- Email us with your bank account details. (Actually, don't email them, we'll send you a secure form.)
- You authorise the direct debit through the secure form.
- From the next billing cycle, payment comes out of your bank account automatically.
Switching from direct debit back to card
Same in reverse. Tell us, we send a card setup link, future charges go to the card instead.
What we never do
- Ask for your card details over email or unencrypted forms, always Stripe's secure portal.
- Store your card number on our systems, Stripe handles all of that.
- Charge you without an invoice, every charge is preceded by an emailed invoice you can review.
Lost the email with the secure link? No problem, ask for a new one. The old link expires automatically.
